In 1963 he began studying composition and conducting in Zagreb. In 1965

Jezovšek (pronounced: Yezoushek) considers himself to be self-taught,
although “officially” he did have a number of distinguished teachers.
He works with his musical theatre OPERA MOBILE ® as a “Gastkünstler”
(or “guest artist”) predominate also in other parts of Europe and in
He has initiated creative festivals in Germany (sang&klang, laboARTorium
Bayreuth), Austria (Tyrolia, Styria) and Slovenia (SCHOLA CANTORUM).
He first attracted notice through his piano peaces, songs and choral
works while a twelve-year-old musical novice in Maribor. He himself ranks
his first short program-composition,
THE BROOK, as one of his best works.
The existence of the group - Ensemble for Contemporary Music - which
he and the Croatian composer Silvio Foretiæ, formed in Zagreb in 1963
was denied or concealed by “...necrophiliac musicology”, Jezovšek says.
After 1965 this first Balkan Group for modern Music played a few “farewell”
